2025 Rowayton Carnival

The 2025 Rowayton Carnival was a major success! This tradition could not take place without the immense commitment and support of our families and school. I want to express my sincere gratitude to the Rowayton PTA, Carnival Committee, staff, families, and volunteers that made this event so special. Your hours of dedication are appreciated by so many.

Smarter Balanced Assessments Begin for Grades 3-5

The Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC) assesses student learning and progress in English Language Arts and mathematics aligned with state standards. Grade 5 students will take an additional science assessment. These computer-based assessments help measure understanding of skills and provide data for teachers to inform instruction.

The window for administering these tests is coming up. Your child’s teacher can provide you with a more a more detailed outline of the testing schedule.

If your child must be absent during this window, a make up date will be arranged. Teachers have prepared for positive and calm testing environments. Please join us in ensuring that our students are both mentally and physically prepared. We encourage rest the night before, and breakfast will be available at school if needed. Thank you for your continued support!
