Read Across America and Read My Shirt Day

March 3 is National Read Across America Day, a day to celebrate one of our favorite activities! The day was established by the National Education Association in 1998 to help get kids excited about reading. We have many special guest readers joining us that day and week including local school administrators, Maritime Aquarium staff, Police Officers, and families. If you or a community member are interested in reading to a class, please reach out to your child's teacher.

We will kick off the week by wearing shirts with a message on Monday, March 3. Please join us for Read My Shirt Day by wearing a shirt with a great word or message on it!

Student Supervision Before and After School

Our school start time is 8:50am each day. Staff is not present to supervise students dropped off early before this start time. Students should be supervised when on school property while school is not open. There are cars and buses entering our driveway, circle, parking lots, and blacktop. These areas are not safe for students when unsupervised.
Dismissal begins at 3:35pm. Students that remain on the campus after dismissal should be supervised by an adult and only use designated play areas such as the playgrounds. The blacktop and circle are not safe as cars and buses continue to pick up students until 6:00pm each day. We appreciate your support in ensuring the safety on our school campus before and after school.
