Join Us for Read Across America

Rowayton Elementary will celebrate Read Across America the week of March 2. We invite our families to join us in sharing the joy of reading with our students! This special week is dedicated to celebrating literacy, fostering a love of books, and inspiring lifelong readers. Read alouds bring characters to life, spark imagination, and create meaningful connections between listeners and readers. We would love for parents, family members, and friends to visit classrooms to read a favorite book. Please contact your child's teacher if you are interested in being a guest reader.

Bring Your Dismissal Cards on Monday

Please make a note that arrival and dismissal posts for our staff will change on Monday, March 2. Be sure to have your color coded dismissal card at pick up. If you do not have it, you will be asked to report to the main office to pick one up. If you need more cards, you can call, email, or stop by the main office this week. Thank you!

Let Grow Session 2

This month, we will GROW our ability to Think Outside the Box in an independent way. The Let Grow Project has started and we have many leaves hanging from our tree in the main lobby area near Rey's desk. Students will walk by the board in the next week or so to look at all of the ways their fellow classmates have been growing and maybe even "shop" for some new ideas.
This week you received a packet with the next activity ideas list and a flower template to fill out and color after the activity is complete. Please continue sending any photos to letgrowrowayton@gmail.com so that we can display them on the board.
