A Membership to the PTA Supports Our School
A membership to the PTA is one of the best ways to support our students! The PTA helps make so many of the special experiences at Rowayton possible - from field trips and assemblies to classroom supplies, enrichment opportunities, family events, and so much more. Your membership helps provide the resources and experiences that make our school community special. Every membership makes a difference and helps our Rowayton Rising Tide continue to grow!

Elvis's Wishlist
Elvis brings joy and curiosity to our school community! Elvis has an Amazon Wishlist with items that will help make his school home extra special. If you would like to support Elvis, please consider purchasing an item from his wishlist. Every little contribution helps us give Elvis the wonderful care he deserves! Thanks in advance from Mrs. Saunders.

Pies for Your Pumpkins
Support the Rowayton PTA by purchasing pies and cookie dough from Lyman Orchards! A portion of all sales will be given directly to the PTA. All funds collected by the PTA are used to support such things as school assemblies, field trips, enrichment programs and more! Pie and cookie dough will be ready for pick up from school on 11/18 just in time for the holiday season. This year, you can still support the PTA by ordering pie or cookie dough for donation through the donation selection on the website. All donations will be given to a local food pantry in the Norwalk area. Thank you for your support!
NWEA Assessments
NWEA MAP Growth assessment is a nationally standardized test which measures what students are ready to learn by using a computer adaptive test that adjusts to the individual. Your child's teacher will use the results of the NWEA MAP Growth assessments to better understand your child's individual needs in order to promote progress. Students in Grades 1 through 5 at Rowayton will participate in the NWEA MAP Growth assessments in math and reading at the beginning, middle, and end of the year.
The window for administering these tests starts September 14. Your child’s teacher can provide you with a more detailed outline of the testing schedule.
If your child must be absent during this window, a make up date will be arranged. Teachers have prepared for positive and calm testing environments. We are also talking about testing strategies and goal setting during Community Builder Meetings.
Please join us in ensuring that our students are both mentally and physically prepared. We encourage rest the night before, and breakfast will be available at school if needed. Thank you for your continued support!
Early Dismissal of Students
The entire school day is valuable. Please try to have students remain in school for the entirety of the school day. Help us maintain a safe and orderly dismissal by following the procedure below when picking up students before dismissal time.
Students may not be picked up after 3:25pm. At this time we have initiated the dismissal process. Parents will have to wait until dismissal begins at 3:35pm.
Please note your child’s schedule as retrieval at certain times of the day will be delayed. We appreciate your patience and flexibility in advance.
