A New Tradition: Wall of Fame
We are starting a new tradition with our Fifth Grade students. Each year, the handprints of the graduating class will be captured on the wall outside our cafeteria. This Wall of Fame will remain for one year until it is painted over so the next graduating class can add their hands. Be sure to check out our Wall of Fame for the Class of 2025 if you are visiting!
Field Day 2025
Our all school Field Day is planned for June 3. The rain date is June 4. This year, all students will receive a 2025 Field Day shirt courtesy of our PTA. Grade levels and classes will be tie dyeing shirts blue or yellow the week before. Your shirt color will determine your team for Field Day. Classes will participate in a series of stations on the field to earn points for their color team. At 3:15pm, we will all gather on the field to cheer on our fifth graders in a final game of tug of war and announce the winning team.
Grades 4 and 5: 9:00am-11:00am
Pre-K, Kindergarten, and Grade 1: 11:05am-1:05pm
Grades 2 and 3: 1:10pm-3:10pm
5th Grade Tug of War and Field Day Winner Reveal: 3:15pm
We are looking for parents and families to volunteer to help make this day extra special. Look out for a ParentSquare message to sign up.
Some reminders for Field Day:
- students should have a water bottle labeled with their names
- sunscreen must be applied before school
- hats and sunglasses are allowed
- athletic gloves and towels are optional
- students should wear sneakers - no Crocs or sandals
- students should dress comfortably
Mr. Parlanti has partnered with Chartwells to provide students will a healthy fresh fruit snack during their time on the field. Rowayton Elementary will continue to collaborate with Chartwells to offer healthy snacks and meals to students.
